# Make Disciples of all Nations
“‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations’” Matthew 28:18-20 ESV

I’m praying that we would be capable swordsmen able to wield the Word of God well to be disciple makers and biblical counselors in our homes. I pray God would equip us to develop a cultural theology for our families. God has us in this world for a reason, and it is not so we can float along in the worlds cultural lazy river! More here:

The End!

A Trumpet Blown in London: Benjamin Keach and the Doctrine of the Last Judgment

“Day of judgment! Day of wonders!
Hark! the trumpet’s awful sound,
louder than a thousand thunders,
shakes the vast creation round.
How the summons will the sinner’s heart confound!”

Let [Christians] lift up their hearts with joy! What a blessed and happy condition are they in now! But what will their state be when this life is ended? Such need not to fear death; for, as their souls go then to Christ, so when Christ comes, he will bring them with him; “they shall appear with him in glory.” What a harvest of joy.”

Counsel from the Confession? 1689 Eschatology and Pastoral Biblical Counseling

We need all of God’s word for all of life, and the biblical counselor’s task is to grasp the word, give it well, and guide souls by it to wholeness in Christ. As the Puritans often remarked, we are to teach “doctrine for life” (1 Tim 1:5).”

“Consider now your own care of souls in light of the age to come… Take steps to cultivate a life of careful obedience (Eph 5:15f). Anxiety can tempt strugglers to throw up their hands, crying “What’s the use?” But Scripture teaches Christians will stand before God for an accounting of our lives, though not for judgment (Rom 14:12). Jesus has taken all punishment for our sins at the cross (Isa 53:4-6), such that our standing and acceptance is secure in him, our obedience made acceptable in his, and we are now able to live for his glory (1 Cor 10:31). Thus the Catechism instructs us to pursue obedience to God’s revealed will (Q 44), making it our aim to be pleasing to him (2 Cor 5:9). Our desire is to hear “well done, good and faithful servant” (Matt 25:23) on that Day…”

# Trained Men
“he led forth his trained men, born in his house, 318 of them” Genesis 14:14 ESV

Lessons from Ukraine:
1 – Citizens be armed ahead of time
2 – Have all the gear and ammo ahead of time
3 – Train and prepare before the war!

T.REX ARMS: Ukrainian Special Operations Sig MCX

“As images emerge out of Ukraine, we have continued to note the guns and gear used by civilians and military personnel. Typically, we see AKMs of various kinds being used by Russian and Ukrainian forces, but when images of a Western rifle like the MCX surface, curiosity arises. This week we built out a clone of the MCX rifles used by Ukrainian special operations, with a video on said rifle and its capabilities.”

Ukrainian SOF MCX Loadout

“In addition to the video, we took the time to go over the details of this build. Why would someone choose a fixed magnifier over a flip to the side magnifier, and why choose one MCX stock over another? These are some questions we answer in the Loadout article.”

this always come down to training. If you want to be proficient with anything, you need to train it, get reps, and become comfortable with your tools, because if you suck, you suck.”

“the response of the Ukrainian people has been equally surprising (and also inspiring), as their government has issued automatic rifles to ordinary citizens, and a modern militia army quickly rose to fight the invaders. Along with some basic firearms training, Ukrainian officials provided instructions for the creation and use of Molotov cocktails, the time-honored anti-tank weapon of last resort. Looking back, the Molotov cocktail was notably used by the Hungarians in their uprising against the Soviets (October 23rd to November 11th, 1956) and to a lesser extent during the Czech Uprising of August 1968. We’ll take a look at how this simple incendiary has been served up to invading armies for more than 80 years… As history repeats itself, over and over again, the use of Molotov cocktails, smashed against the side of an invader’s tank, are witnessed time and time again. Today is no different; all you have to do is look to the bravery of the Ukrainian people in their fight to remain free.”

# Tyranny, crime, and other evils
“The kings of the earth set themselves… against the Lord and against his Anointed… He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.” Psalm 2:1-4 ESV

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:6-8 ESV

Amid Ukraine War, China Threat Rises

“Russia’s actions in Europe have drawn the eyes of the United States and its allies to the West, as they did in decades past, as meanwhile a larger, more formidable force gathers strength in the East, setting its sights on dominating the Indo-Pacific, and then the world… Nalapat pinned the blame on Washington and NATO for engaging in a series of strategic missteps that he believed culminated in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine… Russia and China are deepening their relationship, in ways previously unseen. Two weeks before the invasion, as Russia was drawing heavy international criticism for its plans to attack Ukraine, Putin and Xi proclaimed a “no limits” partnership, a bilateral relationship ‘superior to political and military alliances of the Cold War era.’”

“Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying, “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.” Exodus 15:1 ESV

My Soul Among Lions: My Soul Among Lions // The Song of Moses (Exodus 15) [DEMO AUDIO]

“Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”” Deuteronomy 31:7-8 ESV

“When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he assembled his 318 trained men, born in his household, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.” Genesis‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭CSB‬‬

“The right to life is a good example of what legal historians refer to as an objective right: it is objective in the sense that it exists outside ourselves and is unalienable… The right to life imposes obligations: you must do everything in your power to preserve it.”

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

There is a God that created the heavens and the earth. We humans are created in His image.

We are sinners, we have rebelled against Him, our Creator. Our rebellion has brought “all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice… envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness” to the world. Romans 1:29-31 ESV

Therefore we justly deserve our due punishment of death and damnation, “as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.’” Romans 3:10-12 ESV

But good news! God is merciful and loving. Jesus is God the only begotten Son and He took our punishment upon Himself in our place. Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death and securing the hope of our salvation.

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 ESV

We need only believe it, confess our sins, proclaim Jesus is lord and savior, and we will be forgiven our sins and have life ever after! “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”” Romans 10:9-11 ESV

There is hope. Believe in Jesus! ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV

It doesn’t matter who you’ve been or what you’ve done, God stands with arms wide open, ready to forgive you. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV
