Household Prayer: capable to defend our families

Brothers, I heard a message from Esther, and was meditating on Esther 9:5. I pray we are fit, equipped, trained, and capable if ever called upon to defend our families. I pray it’s never needed, but if it is, I pray we are prepared. I pray our wives and children know they can depend on us for safety and security and give all thanks and glory to God, trusting in Him more than our abilities.

Militia: an army composed of citizens… called up in time of emergency. (Webster’s 2010)

There are four places in the American Constitution that affirm the Militia’s prior existence, and no law can alter it. The militia is all able bodied members of a community.

Article I, Section 8, Clauses 15 & 16:

A Biblical outline to think about Illegal Immigration: Private Property, Boundary Markers, Sojourners, and Self Defense

Private property is God’s design.

The bible speaks of boundary stones, the markers that indicate the boundary of private property. Proverbs warns, “Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.” Proverbs 22:28.

10. You must not covet or desire your neighbor’s belongings. (Exodus 20:17)
Be happy with what God has provided for you and never want what belongs to others out of envy. “Have I looked with envy, jealousy or hatred toward the possessions, talents or achievements of others? Have I desired the downfall or loss of others out of evil intent that I might benefit? Have I grieved that God has bestowed greater blessings on others than on me?

Believers are to obey civil laws and authorities unless they violate God’s law
