  1. Alternative communications. Private, not scanned by big tech and used to market ads or re-educate you.
  2. Ministry, education, news and political organizations to follow. Use email lists and alternative platforms to ensure you get updates that might be censored on “big tech” and mainstream media. 
  3. Organizations, leaders, and movements to follow to be informed, educated, and potentially organize and take action.

They may not always meet the “big tech” user standards, but they will better meet free speech, truth, justice, and liberty standards.

Also, this isn’t to abandon “big tech.” Stay and engage there. But this is to make sure you aren’t having your preferred media censored and having algorithms decide what you should see to re-orient your thinking toward approved thinking.

Also, making the list does not imply full endorsement. I may generally agree and think it’s worthy without giving 100% blind support.

Brothers, this week I want to pray for America. We do not have a President Elect yet. However, there is a lot of media mis-information and censorship. The election matters to Christians and in particular Christian homeschoolers. I sat in on the Family Research Council prayer tonight (https://prayvotestand.org) and it was really powerful. I pray God’s will be done. I pray that if there is corruption lying and cheating in this election that God would reveal it, and that He would bring the wrong doers to justice. Truth and justice, God, is what we desire. God, may the events of this year awaken the church to renewed faith, discipleship, and evangelism.

Pray that there would be peace and safety around election day and through the inauguration in January. Pray for law, order, and justice.

We have been told that we people are the chance result of impersonal chaos working its dark magic on the universe… The outcome of such thinking? Humanity is disenchanted…

But this is not the biblical account of man… God, the beautiful one, made the human race as his capstone work, his corporeal masterpiece (Ps 8:3-6; 27:4) … The imago dei marks out humanity as an enchanted race. Tragically, humanity disenchanted itself by following the anti-wisdom of the serpent…

If we have assumed… that our children learned what they needed to know simply by ecclesial and cultural osmosis, let us be clear that we may hold this assumption no longer. Now is not the time to play down our doctrine of mankind; now is the time to teach it with confidence and with joy, seeking to be witnesses to fellow sinners and guides to all God’s flock.

Hong Kong: faith and liberty

In support of Desert Storm, underway to support the fleet in the Persian Gulf, I had Christmas dinner December 1992 at the Jumbo Floating restaurant in Hong Kong.

When asked what my favorite port was during my deployment the answer is Hong Kong.

My heart weeps for the church and souls in Communist China and Hong Kong. My heart weeps for the sleeping church in America and the American businesses and consumers choosing profit and cheap goods over God, freedom, and liberty! May these events shake the American church to wake up! Please, God.

The battle against Communist China in America

China is at war with America. It is a social, political, and trade war. And it appears they are winning.

The Campaign for Working Families reports “The corporate cave in to communist China continues.  Apple bowed to demands of the Chinese government by removing an app sold on iPhones in Hong Kong.  The app enabled Hong Kong’s residents to know where the police are… We were told that trade with China would bring more civil liberties there.  But trade with China is now restricting our civil liberties here in America.  Yes, you read that right… Beijing’s communists are putting our companies on notice:  Tell your employees to shut up.  ESPN and others have already obliged.  Just how much liberty are we willing to surrender in order to pay a few dollars less for a TV or cellphone made in a Chinese sweatshop? Essential Prayers for Life

Church parking lots are empty. Gathering and worshipping in Jesus’ name has been deemed non-essential by the civil authorities.

But the killing of unborn children has been deemed essential, and based on how full the parking lot is, they are doing a lot of business.
